Background

The base structure for the building was built more than 40 years ago with strong lines paired with distinctive cubist style facades, all of which were retained.

The new building is largely encased in glass resembling a tent-like structure. The glass surface forms differently in certain sections, with the roof of the larger auditorium resembling a series of large sculptural waves.

This distinctive, sculptural superstructure houses first class concert halls comparible to only ten others in the world for size and acoustic quality.

Products

Work was carried out by one of five installation companies working on the sanitary heating for the hotel apartments. Volker Kagelmann used Conex Bänninger >B< Press Copper and Red Brass 15 – 54mm plumbing fittings.

Conex Bänninger >B< Press is quick and easy to use, minimising time on site. Its built-in leak indicator identifies any unpressed joints but provides a secure 3-point joint when pressed, making it a good choice in extensive, large building installations.
